Setting Up Ledger Live Wallet: Complete Beginner’s Tutorial

What you need

• A Ledger device (Nano S Plus, Nano X, etc.)

Step 1 — Download Ledger Live

Go to the official Ledger site and download Ledger Live for your OS. Always verify you’re on the legitimate site — phishing sites exist. Install and open the app.

Step 2 — Initialize or Restore Your Ledger

If you already have a Ledger device with a recovery phrase, choose Restore device. If it’s new, follow the on-device prompts to create a PIN and generate your 24-word recovery phrase. Write that phrase down on the card provided — never store it digitally.
